Happy Unicorn Holidays!

It has been awhile, but with the pandemic and all, not much has happened.

Thanksgiving was crazy. We had been planning for a year to go to Michigan to spend time with family and friends, but the governor up there decided to shut everything and put some pretty hefty restrictions in place that made it impossible for us to do what we had planned. So, about a week before our trip, we had to cancel. So I decided to host some family here. And our new youth pastor. Party of 10. Cool. Then people started backing out. So, we ended with a party of 5: Me, Hubbs, ManCub, and a couple from our church (who also had planned to host a ton of people...who all backed out.). Our girls showed up later in the day, so we had company all day long, just not the same people all day long.

Our friends made the turkey, as she had already purchased a 17-pound bird. We had green beans, stuffing (for those who could eat it), GF gravy (thank you, Hubbs), mashed spuds, and stuffed mushrooms. I made a SF pumpkin pie and a GF/DF/SF pecan pie (recipe is on the recipe tab dated 14 April). And ice cream for everyone! A good time was had by all. No one left hungry. And we ate leftovers for about 4 days. Actually, I think there is still stuffing in the fridge.

Now on to Christmas. Still not sure what that will look like. There will be food. There will be merrymaking. There will be family. Despite the Corona virus, Jesus is still the reason for the season!
